Get ready to say goodbye to some of your favorite Glee cast members!
Glee producer Ryan Murphy has plans to bump off some of the original cast members that made us all fall in love with the hit show. So why is he doing this?
In a recent interview with Australia’s News Limited, Murphy admitted that even though it’s hard to say goodbye to some of the show’s favorites, it's also difficult to keep them around. “Every year we’re going to populate a new group,” Ryan said. “There’s nothing more depressing than a high schooler with a bald spot.”
Realistically, it's difficult to keep the 20-something cast on as high schoolers, but if the original Beverly Hills, 90210 can keep a character 10 years older than the other cast mates, then Glee shouldn’t have a problem doing the same…just throwing that out there.
Don't worry, the original cast members won’t be making their farewell exit until 2012, but will the show be successful without them? There's always new talent waiting in the wings, and most of us are thrilled to see new cast members such as the handsome Chord Overstreet, but to see some of the originals leave will be a very sad day for Gleeks!
“When some of them finish their run at high school it will be very teary episodes. For me it will be particularly tough but a new crop (of actors) will come in,” Ryan revealed.
McKinley High just won't ever be the same without the characters that made Glee into an award-winning show. Which cast member would you be saddest to see go?
